Privacy Policy

White Balance Meter for iPhone · Effective: 9 October 2026

White Balance Meter does not collect any data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party code, and the app makes no network connections. Nothing you do in the app is sent to the developer or anyone else.

Camera

The live camera image is analysed on your iPhone to measure the white balance (colour temperature and tint). Only the photos you take are kept.

Photos

The app can only add photos to your photo library ("add only" access). It cannot see or read your existing photos.

Files

If "Also save to Files" is on, a copy of each photo is stored in the app's own folder (Files › On My iPhone › WB Meter).

Location

While the app is open, your location is written into the metadata of the photos you take, so you can see where each photo was taken. It stays in your photos and files and is never sent to the developer. If you share a photo, its location goes with it unless you remove it in the share sheet options. You can turn location access off at any time in Settings; photos are then saved without location.

Settings

Settings, for example the Kelvin step, are stored only on your iPhone.

Retention and deletion

All data stays on your device for as long as you keep it. Delete photos in Photos or Files, or delete the app to remove its folder and settings. Permissions can be changed at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If you write to us, we use your email address and your message only to answer you, and keep them only as long as that takes. As the app sends us nothing, an email you wrote to us is the only data we could hold about you.

You have the rights the GDPR gives you: access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability, and you can complain to a data protection authority. In Austria that is the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at.

This policy covers the app. For this website, see the site privacy notice.
